Faraday's Law of Induction

A practical demonstration of Faraday's Law. Michael Faraday (1791-1867) discovered the Law of Induction in 1831 after extensive experiments and research. The law states that "the induced electromotive force in a closed loop equals the negative of the time rate of change of magnetic flux through the loop.
